In this episode, I speak with my weight training coach, Jesse O’Brien of Central Athlete, about working through mental roadblocks and creating fitness goals. I started working with Jesse in December of 2020 when I realized I wanted to get serious about my strength training, and I can honestly say that I would not be anywhere close to where I am right now without his expert guidance.

A few years after giving up weights, I started to feel like I wasn’t “myself” anymore. The body I saw in the mirror wasn’t the body I pictured in my mind, and I decided to start weight training seriously again. Now I’m pretty solid when it comes to creating yoga programming, but weight training isn’t a topic in which I would consider myself an expert. That’s where Jesse came in.
